Truus’ Children Workshop

Why organizing workshops?

Pamela Sturhoofd and Jessica van Tijn, the directors of ‘ Truus' Children’, conceived this workshop in response to the overwhelming reactions the film has received. The directors believe it is crucial to engage in conversations about significant themes such as exclusion and the courage to Make a Difference. They also emphasize the importance of connecting the historical events depicted in the film to contemporary issues.

Having conducted numerous workshops across Germany, England, Canada, and Austria, Pamela and Jessica have consistently witnessed powerful and inspiring responses from participants. These workshops serve as a platform to discuss the timeless relevance of Truus Wijsmuller's story and to inspire a new generation to embody the values of bravery and compassion.
